Rags to Riches with your Internet Business

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Internet marketing, affiliate marketing and network marketing have one thing in common.

They have lots of people that go from rags to riches in a very short time.

I would love to tell you I am one of them. The truth is I am not. I actually know one of the reasons I haven’t made as much money in internet marketing as I would have liked.

I have been to dispersed in my affiliate marketing efforts. My focus has been on too many things instead of just the one or two I should be focusing on.

Every person I know who started an internet business that was successful in a very short period of time has two elements in their story that is the same. These elements are:

  • Mentoring in a step by step system that was already proven to work
  • Focused on working one system or program at the time until it was making them a good profit.
  • That doesn’t sound so hard does it?

In speaking of focusing on one thing at a time, it sounds easy. Really focusing on one thing at a time is not as easy as it sounds.

What made me think of this, is a program that Derrick VanDyke has added to Affiliate Cash Secrets. The program is a real rags to riches story for Matt Benwell.

Matt’s kid brother, Rob, was doing well as an internet marketer and had told Matt several times he should start his own internet marketing business. Matt had thought it was way to complicated for him to do.

Finally one day Matt decided, after a few bad days at his job, that it was time to put in a little extra effort and see what he could do.

Look, instead of me trying to tell the story second hand just go over to Quick-fire Profits and read it for yourself.

Should Affiliate Marketers Blog About What They Know and Like.?

Now that you have chosen your Blog platform, it is time to decide what you are going to put on the blog that will give value to others.

I personally enjoy the self improvement industry and passing on knowledge to new affiliate marketers about how to do things through my blog. Since you are reading this you most likely have read some of my other post and know I want to help those new to Internet and Affiliate Marketing get past some of the hurdles that have got in my way.

I also give opinions about products I use and those that I believe will help my readers get the best value from where they are now. The thing you have to understand here is that the best program in the world is of no use to you if you don’t have the basic knowledge to implement it and take action on that knowledge.

You probably have guessed that I would recommend you do something similar.

To have good content on your blog you do not have to be a great writer. All you have to do is communicate with people through your blog about what you like, dislike and what you use or do. Communicate like you would if you were talking to a friend.

Would you recommend something to a friend that you didn’t believe would be of value to them?

I didn’t think you would. Now just think of everyone that reads your blog as a friend.

Content on your blog is just the start of having a good blog. All the content in the world is no good without the following:

   1. Your blog designed to appeal to and make it easy for your readers to read it.

2. Your blog setup to generate traffic each time you post.

3. You blog setup to allow your readers to subscribe to your RSS feed and your email.

The first is being addressed with post in the Website Conversion category. The second and third are much more simplified by getting a Blog i360 site where you don’t have to worry about the little (most important) things.

A light bulb on Affiliate marketing and building a list.

Have you ever been listening to something and all of a sudden an idea just jumps out at you. Well this very thing happened to me just a couple of days ago.

When that light bulb went off I stopped what I was doing and wrote down a few notes. I couldn’t get started working on the idea right then but I had to do something to make sure I didn’t loose it. That is why I wrote it down.

To give you the picture I have to go back a couple of weeks.

I elected to take part in an on line seminar touted as being a virtual seminar. They setup a virtual lobby [Read more →]

How to setup your Internet Marketing Traffic Funnel

The most talked about step in Internet and Affiliate marketing on the internet is getting Traffic. With out Traffic you can not make any profit online at all.

The questions most people have are “How do I get more traffic“.

This is a valid question since it is the life blood of your online business specially if you want a good size list.

I am not going into the steps you need to follow to get traffic. If you need information in that area you can get a Free membership in the BBO Traffic Club.

What I want to talk about is creating a Traffic Funnel to move your [Read more →]

The First Tool for Those New to Affiliate Marketing

Well, we have selected our niche, found products we like, bought and used the product, wrote a report on the benefits of the product for a give away, and have several emails ready for our auto-responder.

What next?

The first tool you have to get is an auto-responder. Without an auto-responder all the hard work and time you have put into creating your free report and email sequence goes down the drain.

The question is which [Read more →]

Step 3 for Those New to Affiliate Marketing

In the first 2 steps we talked about for those new to affiliate marketing, you chose a niche and determined what products you plan to promote to your list. Now it is time to take the first action you need to take in preparing for the onslaught of traffic you are going to get.

Being prepared is half the battle.

By being prepared before we start incurring monthly fees as an internet marketer, for the tools we will need we can reduce the monthly cost of your internet business to little or nothing the first month we start up. Sounds like a good idea doesn’t it?

How many does it take?

So, what you have to prepare now is a series of emails to send to your list. I am not asking [Read more →]

The 2nd Point for Those New in Affiliate Marketing

In the last post we discussed the fact that the first thing you should do is decide the niche you will promote. Once you have decided that niche it is time to begin the second step in your journey to starting your internet business.

Good question. The answer is is really a two [Read more →]

The Starting Point for Those New in Affiliate Marketing

In my last post I discussed the basic tools needed to get started as an Internet Marketer. These tools were:

  1. A squeeze page
  2. An autoresponder
  3. A domain name
  4. A hosting service
  5. A series of emails
  6. A product to promote

Now I want to take you on the very first step you need to accomplish before you can really start making money with Affiliate Marketing. Most people think the first step involves a tool or some special training. It doesn’t and there is some controversy [Read more →]

List Building with Web2.0 Workshop

Building your list to a respectable size can be a very demanding task. We have all heard the axion that “The Money is in The List“. When we look at the average Affiliate marketer we see that over 88% of them do not even have a squeeze page.

How can you build a list without a squeeze page?

We also know that if you don’t have a squeeze page there is no way that you will have an autoresponder setup. With no autoresponder you have no need for [Read more →]
